Process

The process from your initial request to final delivery of your translation is complex. Broadly speaking, the procedure is as follows:

Once we have received your request, it is analysed along the following lines: subject, particular specialism, format, language combinations required and possible use of translation tools. Use of translation tools can result in a shorter delivery time, cost savings and improved consistency regarding terminology. Based on this analysis, the project coordinator decides what deadline is possible. Your account manager at Wilkens c.s. will of course always consult you when setting deadlines.

The project coordinator selects the translator(s) for your project. These will always be specialised native speakers of the target language. Thanks to our combination of in-house translators working in close connection with our network of freelancers, we are always able to find the right translator for your text right away, thus shortening delivery times.

Once the translator has translated your text and checked his or her work, the translation is examined by a reviser. The reviser checks the translation for spelling, grammar, completeness and correct content.
